Help The Hurricane Resource Center Raise $150,000
Reason For Fundraiser:
"Rebuilding the GulfCoast One Source at a Time"
I know most of you have heard in the news that Hurricanes are looming over the Gulfcoast for 2007. Many people have not obtained hurricane shutters, or gotten simple repairs done on their houses to make them secure. Many residents are terrified on a daily basis, and our government agencies, have let us down, to say the least. The Hurricane Resource Center has these tasks, and many more, so won't you please help support our efforts.
The Hurricane Resource Center of Pensacola, Florida, a disaster relief inspired agency with years of experience, is trusted by the community to be inclusive and non-discriminatory in providing professional services and referrals. Structured as a non-profit corporation with 501(c)3 status and sponsored by the Friends for Recovery of the Gulfcoast, is directed by its mission to provide quality services and referrals to those in need. Advocating within the public and private sector, and strengthening the communities in which they live and work. With dedication and perserverence, The Hurricane Resource Center is rebuilding a better Gulfcoast by providing the most competent disaster relief services ever known to this region.
Cynthia East, a native New Yorker has been Executive Director, for The Hurricane Resource Center for 3 years. I first, stayed for the devastation in Pensacola with my mom, and evacuated from New Orleans, Louisiana surviving Ivan and Katrina. My ability to see the need and do something about it, is directed by my survival of two of the most deadly natural disasters along the Gulfcoast. The Hurricane Resource Center can be seen at www.hurricaneresourcecenter.org, so please, please, visit and learn about the people still along the Gulfcoast that have few resources, but have invested their whole lives to reside here. My reasons for this fundraiser is to help support the many services and programs the Hurricane Resource Center provide.
