Help Michael Harper - Sound of America 2008 Europe Trip Raise $5,000

Reason For Fundraiser:  
My name is Michael Harper, and I am a senior at Belleview High School. I have been a member of the Marching Diamondback Band and the Diamondback Concert Band since ninth grade, a member of the Diamondback Jazz Band since eleventh grade, and a member of Troupe 5445, the musical theater group, my twelfth grade year. The past two years I have been a member of the Florida Bandmasters Association District 19 All-District Honors Band. This year I was in the Tri-State Honors Band, which was held at Florida State University, and included musicians from Georgia, Alabama, and Florida. I have also been selected to be in the "Who's Who Among American High School Students" 2007 national catalog. Recently, I have been selected to perform with the prestigious Sound of America Honor Band and Chores 2008 European Concert Tour. The group will perform eleven concerts in six countries during its twenty-five day tour. Needless to say, I am thrilled at the possibility of joining this select group of musicians. Each participant must pay his own expenses, estimated at $4800. Because I am sure this opportunity may never present itself again, I am going to everyone I know to help me reach this dream and make it a reality. All the time I have been in the music industry, I have always wanted to perform with outstanding individuals and create beautify music. If there is any way that you could possibly make a contribution to assist me in this once-in-a-lifetime experience and life-long dream, I would be very grateful. Please help me be able to perform in some of the greatest concert halls in Europe by making a contribution to help with the expenses of this unexpected honor. When I began my music career eight years ago, little did I think that I would have such a unique opportunity to perform abroad.
